CEREBRAL SPINAL FLUID LEAK (CFS)

Cerebral Spinal Fluid Leak, or CFS, can be caused by any tear or hole in the membrane that surrounds the brain and spinal cord, causing fluid to leak. This fluid is called the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). When it leaks out, the pressure around the brain and spinal cord drops. This can be caused by any number of possible head injuries or surgeries performed on the brain, including spinal tap.
